Katherine Burgess-Cruz

Attorney Katherine Burgess-Cruz was born and raised in Northern Virginia. She received her bachelor’s degree in Political Science from St. Mary’s College of Maryland, The National Public Honors College.

Katherine graduated magna cum laude from the University of Baltimore School of Law, where she served as a Staff Editor on the University of Baltimore Law Forum, was a member of the Jessup International Moot Court Team, was a member of the Royal Graham Shannonhouse III Honor Society, was the recipient of the Best Overall Competitor Award in the Byron L. Warnken Moot Court Competition, and a student attorney with the Saul Ewing Civil Advocacy Clinic.

Prior to joining Rabb & Rabb, Katherine served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Melissa K. Copeland in Baltimore City Circuit Court. Katherine was also a summer associate at Whiteford, Taylor & Preston in Baltimore, Maryland.

Katherine works with a diverse client base on a variety of challenging legal issues, including personal injury, probate, and estate planning and administration, family law, and claims arising under the Federal Employers Liability Act (FELA).

Katherine resides in Tucson, Arizona, and is the wife of an active-duty United States Air Force Technical Sergeant.
